A Living Center of Transmission

"The workshop is not a museum. It is a place where the medicine is still practiced, still taught, and still alive."

Established in 2011 with formal approval from the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Jiangxi Heritage Workshop operates as both a scholarly archive and a living pedagogical centre. Located in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province — the city where Wan Yousheng spent the majority of his clinical career — the workshop houses the original manuscript collection, clinical case records, and personal library accumulated over six decades of practice.

Under the stewardship of the Wan family and the archive's translation team, the workshop continues to host seminars, manuscript study sessions, and supervised clinical instruction. The 2011 State Administration approval recognised the workshop as a nationally significant site for the preservation and transmission of classical TCM methodology — a designation that reflects both the depth of the collection and the continuity of its teaching lineage.
